Knife wielding man claims self-defence following attack on two women on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA:--A drunken Thai Man reportedly attacked two women on Pattaya Beach early on Wednesday Morning with a knife which he claimed was in self defence. Police were called to the Beach in front of Soi 6/1 and arrested Khun Sorapong aged 33 and seized a knife thought to have been used in the attack.

One woman, who sustained cuts to her stomach, Khun Prayad aged 33 was rushed to Hospital while a second, Khun Buarsai aged 28 sustained cuts to both her arms. The women claimed that they confronted the suspected attacker who was staring at them as they sat on the beach.

He then produced the knife and injured the two women. Khun Sorapong claimed the women approached him and used foul language and were preparing to attack him. He claimed to have attacked the women with the knife in self defence as he was sure he was about to be attacked by them.
