Can anyone tell me what they are constructing on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi Asoke, the site that runs all the way back with access from Soi 23. I'd be interested to get as much info as possible.

I heard that they are building a hotel...a W Hotel... but I have not confirmed this...

It used to be the site of "Asoke Plaza" a few bars, not really fancy. They are building a new hotel at this site.

and before that it was a car park....

No not a hotel, khun Dao is going to re open Barbie Bar there again with the same Buri Ram staff

It will be a 5 star hotel. Hilton looks like they will be awarded the mgmt contract.

Nice to see the Exchange building has finally opened across the street from this new hotel on Asoke and Suk.

By the way, the ownership group is the same owner that is building another 5 star hotel on Soi 23 next to Tai Pan Hotel.

wonder how much longer soi cowboy has got before someone pulls the plug , is soi cowboy owned by just one person who leases out the buildings there , or is each property owned separately ??

The buildings are all owned by different people/groups.

Agree about the Exchange building..very impressive structure and has been sitting empty for what... 5-10 years .

I believe that part of the reason was that the owners wanted a single tenant to occupy the entire building rather than sub let...hence.... ...

Remember the old Fish maket/restaurant that was on the site before ....500 or so chefs all cooking away.... fish to go.......you buy first then they would cook......
