True Adsl Issues

Yet again I am having issues with TRUE adsl internet.

I cannot reach the site www.thtvdb.com direct through true or their stupid web proxy. The only way I can reach this site is via a 3rd party proxy. That means the routing issue is 100% on TRUE. It seems like every day there are different sites that are not accessible from TRUE. Sometimes the sites are truely down but other times a re route through a 3rd party proxy shows the site is there but TRUE is not routing me to it. I have rebooted the modem, router, and all clients. I have cleared the dns cache.

Why does TRUE have such issues on such a basic service?

Does anyone else have issues reaching http://www.thetvdb.com/ from the TRUE network?

my true has been cutting in and out all evening, not some sites but all but i am on docsis

True went down at about 9.45pm, just come back up. Well it went down for any sites there werent hosted in thailand anyhow. Seems most people has the same outage as me.

Maybe the problem it's the same.

When I moved to this home I discovered how much pornographics sites are blocked by TOT

So I used tor browser and my firefox and some another sites start to fail, corporate and goverment websites too (not only porn )

I complain to TOT and I was looking another ISP provider, they send the next day a IT guy that check the cables outside amd later inside the home, I showed to him the blocked websites, and I asked for the passwords for the router, becasue I want to change the configuration of wifi etc, so i get all the passwords and some tips too, we reset the router and when we test again the problem of the blocked webpages disapear.

weeks later another webpages start to fail and I notice a relation with webpages that I surf on tor browser, I did a hard reset again and the webpages work again, I think the rouetr have some problem so I quit some services, I left the wifi without password and things like that, no problem again but i dont like left the wifi without passwords so I changed my network architecture using the billion only as a modem, no dhcp,firewall,wifi, etc and my linksys dd wrt as a router, access point, now I never have the same problems again.

I think the billion 5200g (something) have some bug in relation with proxy and VPN

That's an interesting hypothesis. I'm running a zyxel on TRUE and have the wifi completely disabled. I will try doing a hard reset and see if that helps any unreachable sites. In fact I only use the modem and have the router in bridge mode to my wifi router.

right now bt-chat will only open via tor. Going through true direct or their lame proxy brings same results.. site timeout.

TRUE ran the fiber lines to my village and they have been hanging outside my house for over a year but they still tell me network in my area of the darkside in pattaya is not live. I hope to change from adsl to docsis just as soon as it's available.

When True installed cable TV and internet in my western Bangkok moobaan, which is a moobaan of around 750 house, it took them a little over 6 months from start to going operational. While they were stringing the cable trunk line/equipment around the moobaan sois there would be periods of weeks where no installation activity was occurring...one time they just disappeared for a 6 week period when they looked like they were about 75% down. They initially said they would go operational around Mar 11, then it slipped to May, then they finally went operational in mid Jun 11. By going operational, I mean actually hooking-up houses to the trunk line. Up until then the moobaan's choice of ISPs was TOT, TOT, or TOT at a max blazing speed of 6Mb ADSL. It goes without saying that TOT loss the majority of internet customers in the moobaan when True went operational with speeds up to 100Mb...I think I can get a 200Mb now if I wanted to pay the monthly price.

All the neighbors I talk to frequently have switched....heck, switching was almost a no-brainer due to monthly cost and/or speed...and definitely reliability. Even in late 2011 when there was around a meter of water in my moobaan for almost a month, the True cable TV/internet never went down...can't say the same for the few folks still on TOT internet as TOT's ground-level junction boxes were under water/shorted out. One neighbor on our soi was still on TOT during the flood...lost their internet day one of the flooding....as soon as the flood water disappeared in early Dec 11 they switched to the 10Mb DOCSIS and been happy ever since. And I'm prefectly happy with my True 20Mb/2Mb DOCSIS plan (knock on wood).

Total Rubbish Unusable Empty

3 attempts to sign in on this site and 5 hours and still a single picture is not able to upload to facebook. The previous three loaded on Thursday no problems. I can only presume the catering staff in the True canteen have shot the singe remaing carrier pigeon and it has been served up in the staff canteen.

TRUE is indeed a fraud on a grand scale, we've got your money go screw your self.

Do they actually know this is the 21 st century and technology is part of peoples daily lives?
