Look's like the Thai's building up Ban Laem , the road in village is paved now , work has started on the parking lot.

Immigration seems to get a building n will move soon from it's temporary shelter .

On Cambo side they built a real casino n especially on weekend's the parking lot is full with BKK vehicles.

However still a "nice"place n no comparision with PoiPet.

Now my question's: does anyone have experience with a company leaving 7.30 from Lotos , costing 2,400.-? I mailed the e-mail quoted , but never got a reply.

In a other topic I found the name "Ian" running a Visa Run company, does anyone can provide contact

details . I wonna try something new .

Thank's

I wanted to try a new company too for a visa run to Ban Laem (last week). I went with a company run by a German guy, Claudio. Very friendly. Price is currently 1600 baht (but this will go up to 1800 baht after January because of the "required" services of an "agent" at Ban Laem). Departure from Thong Lo BTS Station, Bangkok.

And yes, Ban Laem almost seems respectable now :-)

Thank's for the note.

In the meantime I found out that Mike N Toni who used to run from Tesco/Lotus have stopped their service. THB 2,400.- was to high.

The guy's from ThaiVisaService are leaving now from there ,THB 1,800.- all incl.

Visarunner, just for your info, "Quick Thai Visa Run" starts to use a big coach now from Ekkamai. To be honest, I personally like their van service, which was quickest in Bangkok.

Hello Lynnx,

Thank's for info , I know Phil very well and wish him all the best .

Buying a big bus/coach is a huge investment.

He also has moved the departing time forward to 09.30am.

However using a big bus will change his time schedule.

With at least 4 good operators we can be sure of good service as all want to maintain their customers.
