I don't understand that if the dreambox is of no value why by another, unless you mean it tongue-in-cheek. Remember you are talking to a caveman here,,,, maybe a little before caveman days... Or you can use it with legal cards to get encrypted channels. It might be a programmable satellite receiver, but at the end of the day it's still a satellite receiver. It is already programmed for many satellites Just point the dish at a new satellite, tell the box what satellite it is and Search. You will only see FTA channels, unless you have a card for the services. It depends how it was configured before; you might need to install new CAM software if you want to use a legal card, for example.
