Is there generally much of a cost saving buying in MBK, and is there any disadvantage of doing so?

Phone in question is a HTC Desire V

Savings on that model, as of today, might be 2.5%. No disadvantage to paying less.

enough to buy lunch then, thanks for the reply

Is 'customer service' any better at a place like Jaymart? Eg, if a few days after buying a phone it goes bad and you bring it back will they take care of it, as opposed to the "you bought it, now it's yours" standard?

If so, it might be worth paying a little bit more.

One good thing about PowerBuy, although I am not sure if it applies to Mobile phones, but it does apply for most products there, is that if you purchase there, you can buy from them an extended warranty to 3 years instead of the original warranty, at the cost of 8.5% extra charge.
