I'm going to be in Chumphon some time next week and I want to take a taxi to Ranong.

Does anyone know where in Chumphon I can get a proper taxi from and approximately how much it should cost.

From what I understand it should only take 90-120 minutes for the journey.

Contact Kiat Travel on 07750 2127 or 01893 4152 for taxis. How much he will want I don`t know.

Public and minibus services are also quite frequent and will cost you far less.

Check with the Fame Restaurant. They have mini buses and

seem to be a hub for transportation.

ukrules, did you manage to sort your taxi to Ranong from Chumphon? Any price details you or anybody else can pass on?

I need to activate the last entry on my tourist visa by hopping in and out of Myanmar. Fame Guesthouse are offering visa runs to Andaman Club for 1,300 baht (leaving 12.30pm) or Big Boat from main Ranong pier for 1,100 baht (leaving 05:45am), but neither departure time is ideal for my onward travel.

Anybody?
