Drunk Driver escapes serious injury following road crash in Sattahip

SATTAHIP:--A drunk driver was lucky to escape with relatively minor injuries in the early hours of Saturday following a road crash in the Plu Ta Luang area of Sattahip District.

The single vehicle road accident led to injuries sustained to Khun Egapong aged 33 who was seen to be driving in an erratic fashion and at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a left hand turn into a side road and his car fell into a ditch.

The man confessed to being drunk and a half-empty bottle of whisky was seen on the floor under the front passenger seat. Luckily other drivers spotted the accident and called the authorities straight away.
