Debothai
I tried to buy some Jordanian Dinars (200 JOD) in Pattaya, but couldn't find any exchange booth that had them. I was near the beach road area. Maybe they have them in Soi Arab in South Pattaya? Alternatively would I be able to get them near the Grace Hotel area in Bangkok? I wanted to have some local currency for my transit in Amman. I know I can always use euros but I like to travel prepared with the local currency. Any ideas? WilliaminBKK
If you are entering Jordan then you need Dinars for the arrival visa, there are 3-4 currency booths located in the arrivals hall to change Euros to Dinars. If you are in transit only there are a few ATM's, duty free shoppes accept Euros/Pounds. If you are going to do the ATM route be prepared banks are closed Friday & Saturdays and some not all ATM's are offline. Look for Arab Bank PLC ATMS If you are still set of having Dinars I would think they could be found in BKK & at the airport since Royal Jordanian flies here. samran
Either around the grace if you need a little for travel, but if not, change you. At to USD, and take that to Jordan and change it there. You will get the best rates that way.
yoshiwara
Walk in to TT Exchange and order some. They will rustle up something for you.
dddave
In Bangkok, I'd suggest the well established VASU currency exchange shop at the corner of Sukhumvit and Sukhumvit Soi 7.1, just below the Nana BTS, opposite Subway sandwich shop. They deal in most world currencies and are reputable.
