PATTAYA: -- Pattaya Police were called to the scene of a motorbike accident this week, and may have caught a local thief at the same time.

A young motor cyclist claims that he had his 1 baht gold chain ripped from his throat, while riding in the central pattaya area. Along with his amulet, which was also stolen, the value would have been nearly 30,000 baht.

Subsequently he spotted, what is convinced is, the attacker on another bike. Chasing him along the streets the victim called out for the alleged thief to stop.

He had no intention of stopping until he lost control of his bike and was thrown to the ground. Police quickly arrive on the scene to find him injured and unable to escape his accuser who assured them that the, now injured, man had stolen his valuables and that they should arrest him.
