New Tourist Visa? Where..

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, i have my first tourist visa issued for 9 months (3 enries), that was 8 months ago, so next month i am planing to go and get a new one. I wold like to know is there any info about where to get a new one issued at 3 entries or at least 2(months).

Preffered is Malaysia since i get their visa on border and it is free, so if anyone has Khota Baru or Penang info, that would be great, also Cambodia(Phnom Phen) option would be nice, but preffered is Malaysia! Thank you

That's a tough question. Based on recent reports by members, Savannakhet in Laos seems your best bet. Penang used to refuse even a new single-entry tourist visa if you had a 30-day extension a previous entry. Penang is iffy but may work if you use an agent, and you may have to spend tow or three nights there. Can't give an opinion on Kota Bharu and Kuala Lumpur.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Thank you very much, today i contacted 2 agents from Penang and asked them about what they can do, soon as i get their answer i will decide where to go.RIght now the Penang is the best option, but in case the agents can't help me i will just go to Kuala Lumpur! If anyone has some info about Kuala Lumpur or even Khota Bharu i will be thankfull.! thank you again Maestro!

You will not get a 3 entry visa valid for 6 months at any nearby consulate.

You should not have any problem getting a single entry visa in KL. Did you check the link for info that Maestro posted?

UPDATE: I just got back from Kuala Lumpur,

Ticket from Hat Yai- Kuala Lumpur 400 baht- air conditioned bus, 3 row sets,so confy!

LTR is still the same about 50Baht to ambasy and after that to China Town.

I stayed in Mandarin hotel, 120 ringits-150 ringits depending is the room "with or without window"my was.,air conditioned, hot water, bathtub ,TV, breakfast also included...only thing to BE AWARE is WI-FI, since they will try to sell you room for 200 ringits with wi-fi telling you that in other rooms there is no wi-fi connection, but if you take the normal one from 100-150 ringits you will also have the WI-FI :) Password: 0123456789

VIsa 110 Ringit, they allow only single entry, no red stamp, no plane ticket needed, very fast, very organised.

If you have any questions let me know!

Have a nice trip ;)

Bus from Kula Lumpur to Hat Yai only 2 times per day, one in the morning and one in 22:30, 450baht, i guess it is 400baht for the ticket and 50 baht is for the arrival card aplication print, they will collect all passports near the border and print all, so you don't need to write anything.

Bus was late 1 hour (i guess the driver forgot to turn time 1 hour back).

Same question like last year. :) any updates about Kota Bharu? Anyone been there recently? I need new tourist visa!

Other than travel through a somewhat unsettled area of the country and not being non-conservative female friendly have not seen any reports of issues getting single entry tourist visas. Suspect I would use Penang from Hat Yai myself.

Latest report is dated 2012-10-29: http://www.thaivisa....a/#entry5794315

You might want to consider a 2 entry from either Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos. Cost of trip is more but getting a 2 entry saves one visa run.
