I don't believe you....establish bonafides. I think you are taking a PI&&

Hey, I should you my degrees. What school is it that you are from? Care to share a pic of your degree?

How about a pic of the supermodel. smile.png You can blur out her face or something

I poster her pic yesterday...too slow matey. tongue.png

Tonight i will meet someone who will establish my bonafides and report back.. No, i will not post a pic of my degree but I will prove to the guy tonight that I attended an Ivy college.

He will also vouch for my professional bonafides...I will show him a pic of me beefing a Deputy Assistant Secretary of sumptin.

Yes, but what happens if this 'guy' is one of your alter egos?

He's not.

I doubt you went to an Ivy, Stanford, Amherst, or UChicago. If you did you would not have written what you did.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

stanforddiploma_zps00a1ac54.jpg

It's precisely because I did that I wrote what I did. The people I was referring to I met at Stanford and at grad school. You would be impressed who I know, who I partied with, who I have dirty little secrets about from their days at college. You would know their names. However, people such as myself don't name drop. We also keep the secrets of our friends.

You also would be really surprised at who else is actually on this forum. Like really well educated people. Like really fabulously wealthy people. You would never guess because they don't talk about it...and neither will I.

In regards to your comment about the Las Vegas electricity bill, you are actually right. It can go up to $400 if you crank the electricity. I just wasn't in the house much to use it last month.

hmm, maybe, but I'm skeptical. what was the program? I doubt it was one of the professional schools...maybe Ed or something....the easiest way to get a MA from Harvard is to apply to the Education school..maybe Hover...maybe ....

Then again there are those from my eating club in college--if you know Ivies you can figure out which one by that commment--that work on wall street and at corporate law firms but there is always that 10% or so that end up teaching in some innercity high school or as wonderlust journalist types (aka quasi unemployed).

But if you are legit, wussup? What are you doing in BKK?

Actuallly, man, I take that back. You may very well have a MA in Visual Arts or some other liberal art from the Farm. You are not a JD or MBA though.

I never said that tier 1 types are not in Bangkok. It's just I have never met them sans a Brown educated poker player I met at the airport.

I am sure they exist..1 or two....but surely not in any measurable numbers.

We are getting off topic;it's not about me..it's about my gf.

Why should I? First, they are irrelevant to my posts here on TV, second they don't make me a better / differnt person than I am now and third, I am self-confident enough without having to brag about what I have...

And even more, I did NOT claim that I have them, I asked you whether it would make me a better person if I would have them...

Sorry, i did not read your post carefully. Ok. cool. I don't think you doubt me in the slightest bit.

better person? maybe, likely, whatever "better" means...a different person? heck yea

We are NOT off topic... it IS about you... because you seem to be the main problem for your gf... cause if you would be so top notch as you claim, you would make enough money to keep her happy in a loft in NYC... so... you seem to be the problem and not her....giggle.gif

again, you haven't really figured out BKK then have you?

But then again, maybe people in Thailand are just too busy to notice you and your GF's awesomeness.

So on behalf of the people of Bangkok, a city actually do know and love, I apologise for our obvious oversights.

I'll organise a pack of fanboys for you ASAP.

Chop chop.

Well I'm not in BKK, but in California now. Though I was born their, my family is there, I've worked their, and still go back there.

Princeton University you say? Still waiting for your diploma pics. Maybe give you princeton alumni email address so I can send you an email from my stanfordalumni email?

No, but I am tempted. With the email you could look me up in the directory and get my info. With that, if you were a crazy...

I also have a serious mid level national security type job..well have had them and am waiting on a call for the next one...and if you were a nut and posted my info it would not bode well for me to leave such an obnoxious cyber trail behind....the gun toter security folk get people for much less than this if they want to.

so no, i am going to take the hit and pull a mitt romney ala releasing his tax returns.

sorry.

fire away...just no shots to the balls or the face...ugh ugh..

Like a penthouse in Manhattan? Cant afford that. And I don't like NYC...Unless you are trust fund, you need ibanking or a corporate law gig to afford that.

There is I can fly Business Class on Cathay and party in Vegas and there is I have seven figures in my bank account and a tax attorney who tosses around terms like deferred income on a $600 1/2 hour phone call that's billed as an hour.

I am not rich. I never said I was. I know some rich folk and I am not one of them..by far.

You are obsessing about your bona fides..... but can you not see that no one gives a hoot about it? You have made yourself into a joke in TV... either by design or by accident. Your "gf" is not the problem, it seems pretty clear that you are, and you can set up homes in as many places as you like, but you will always be in a conflict zone: one that is YOU. Take your head out of your a$$ and smell the coffee.

You have become B O R I N G and P I T I F U L

I am sorry you feel that way. I agree it is getting a bit hackneyed.

You are also correct that working in conflict zones does manifest itself in colorful ways....namely uberindulgence, ptsd, and a general lack of penchant for bs.

but really, i am cool with most things..bemused is an apt description, my girl is not however....

.......and am beginning to suspect that Submaniac and Aurellian are two sides of the same coin, but then again, maybe I am just being cynical and crabbit, but there are some amazing similarities at times.

What'd I do? I just came to poke some fun. Really if it were me, I would have at least tried to make it plausible.

No way. I am insulted.

the dude admitted to living in So. Highlands in vegas. that's a dump. full of 175k homes surrounded by vacant foreclosures and 1/2 constructed shopping malls.

If you have a house in vegas and it's not in Summerlin, Seven Hills, or Lake Las Vegas....well, i would not admit to it.

heck, even a condo on the strip (or in City Center) for that matter, but Southern Highlands....no way Jose.

Last I heard KBR pays truck drivers off base $125,000. per year. Give the kid a break. He is trying.

all replaced by TCNs now... Pakistani actually.

Those days are long gone.

nothing wrong with driving a truck and providing for your family. nothing at all. it's good honest work and I dont appreciate your insinuation or thinly veiled belittlement.

Work is work. All honest work is good work and admirable.

What are you retarded? Southern Highlands is one of the nicest part of the city. By the Silverton Casino/Bass Pro shop area.

If you don't know that, then you really don't have a house in Vegas. Where do you think is better, North Las Vegas?

And when you start saying that you are insulted of being accused of being me...is where I get insulted, if anyone can understand what I just typed.

Dude if we were the same people we'd be hella szitsafrenic...I know I killed the spelling of that one..lol.

Seriously, you dont like Lake Las Vegas? I am thinking of putting in an offer on a home there but the distance and HOA fees are problematic..this shortsale is taking forever..

What do you think of the area, the gf loves it but I think it would get boring real quick?

Thanks mate.

Seriously, they may have it posted but we are out of Iraq. Just training and equipping and a bit of intel related stuff...no more fobs all over the country that need to be supplied via overland anymore.

What happens is that companies often post jobs just to collect resumes in case something happens...I am sure that Logcap--the big logistics contract there--has a clause where KBR "must be able to deploy 300 class C truckdivers within 21 days of contract notification."

I am not messing with you on this. I never mess about for cyber giggles when it comes to money.

Actually, yea. If I want a gig in Vienna or Rio that's EXACTLY what they say;however, if it's Kabul or Karachi it's we need you there in time to brief the CODEL on Sunday.

Thanks for an entertaining read gents. Looking forward to tomorrows instalment.

Will the op actually produce his boni fides or a pic of his lady?

Will Submaniac rise to the bait and convince the op that he lives in a good neigborhood and can everyone agree that vegas has seasons?

Has the op actually graduated from an ivy league school or did he drop out as stated in post 101?

Will we see the word 'faux' or 'ilk' worked into a post again?

Can the op use the word 'moot' in it's proper context?

Looking forward to tomorrows instalment.

You need to read dude. I left law school, not college.

you may be right about moot though. I always mess that one up.

Pic was posted...ok,,here goes...I will give the lads something to chew on...
