worgeordie
Hi Doppa, when you get time a report on the NE, would be most welcome,as I have never been back for 26 years, so it would be culture shock I think. Northumberland, anyone that has not been there would be surprised, the Southerners think its all muck and grime, coal dust ,but I have fond memories trekking about on the fells, fishing at Corbridge and Hexham, and the girls at Haltwhistle were very friendly,it was the 60s. But I am still happy here, better weather, cheaper,no cctv cameras recording your every move, no EU making laws for you. So Good Luck Doppa, next time your eating a bacon stottie think of me Regards Worgeordie
ThaiPauly
Northumberland is a lovely part of the UK, not far from the lake district which is a national treasure. I have fond memories of a little village called Stamfordham, if you ever pass through it give it my regards. Good luck with your new life Doppa, I hope it all works out
