THAI celebrates first A380 with "Rak Khun Tao Fah Special"

BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International (THAI) is organising a "Rak Khun Tao Fah Special" event to offer customers promotional fares for travel on THAI's first Airbus A380 aircraft, whereby special airfares to international destinations and Royal Orchid Holiday tour programmes will be sold during Sept 27-30.

The airfares will be available at an event at Siam Paragon, Lifestyle Hall. Next week, THAI is scheduled to take delivery of its first Airbus A380, the world's largest and most modern passenger aircraft that is fully equipped for maximum passenger comfort and convenience.

Pandit Chanapai, THAI executive vice president for Commercial, said that this "Rak Khun Tao Fah Special" event is being held as THAI will receive its first Airbus A380. THAI is offering special promotional fares to international destinations for those interested in flying THAI's new Airbus A380, as follows:

Economy Class fares to international destinations on flights flown with Airbus A380 aircraft:

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Hong Kong, Economy Class fares starting at Bt 9,200

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Singapore, Economy Class fares starting at Bt 9,015

(Passengers must depart from Bangkok during October 6 to December 14.)

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Frankfurt, Economy Class fares starting at Bt 35,650

(Passengers must depart from Bangkok during 15 December 2012 to 31 March 2013. The last day to depart from Bangkok is 31 March 2013 only.)

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Narita, Economy Class fares starting at Bt 16,930

(Passengers must depart from Bangkok during 16 January to 31 March 2013. The last day to depart from Bangkok is 31 March 2013 only.)

Royal Silk Class and Economy Class at special airfare prices to international destinations are available only at the "Rak Khun Tao Fah Special" event:

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Hong Kong, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 20,700 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 10,200

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Sapporo, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 51,900 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 17,400

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Seoul, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 38,765 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 17,265

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Yangon, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 15,525 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 8,025

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Delhi, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 30,295 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 14,995

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Sydney, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 71,270 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 26,270

- Roundtrip fares from Bangkok-Auckland, Royal Silk Class fares starting at Bt 84,110 and Economy Class fares starting at Bt 30,610

Costs of tickets include taxes and surcharges. Customers in the provinces may obtain these special fares at local THAI sales offices during 27-30 September 2012, whereby there will be a limited number of special fare tickets available per flight.

I know this is ridiculous and totally illogical, but I no no intention of ever getting on an Airbus. Don't really like flying anyway and they just seem too bloody big, prefer something smaller and less gravity defiant. That aside looks like too many heading to immigration in one burst. As to Thai, well they reall don't justify their high prices do they? As the previous poster said plenty will be flying free and we are the ones subsidising it.

There will be plenty of well heeled Thai's prepared to pay these prices no doubt.

There'll be plenty of Thais paying nothing to fly the A380...

Too true ! Maybe that is why they needed the A380, you have board members, children of board members, distant relatives of former board members and that is before you get to politicians, senior military figures etc smile.png
