What's The Story With The Lumping Park Gym

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the open air gym in lumpini park is free or membership-based? Looks like a great setup but unclear as to how it is managed or who is in charge. Does anyone work out there?

colleague of mine was saying that it is 40bt per year to use it. i shit you not, only 40bt.. but he wasn't sure who it is available to.

There are two on my last count. The one more towards Rama 4 was charging 200 Baht a month. (Sorry, this is some years ago) It was then run by the very very well -built guy who you can't miss, he is there every afternoon.

When I came casually, I mean only once a week or so, I used to slip 20 Baht per visit, much appreciated. Also, I observed many times that Thais come casually for a little workout without being asked to pay.

I think this is the gym price for the new youth club near the Silom road gate. There is a price list posted outside the entrance. There is a yearly price for mature members, a bit more than 40 baht, maybe 60 baht per year.
