Do you Qualify to work for RFK Jr?
I think you missed the sarcasm. The man's body is a machine. At his age he looks unbelievably healthy. I encourage all to post their own pics as a comparison. -

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2024)
Yesterday I endeavoured to watch a movie which was mentioned on a list of very good movies, and it was called, "All Quiet on the Western Front" (2022 version) so I thought I'd give it a go and I think I had watched the original which was made back in the 30s, and that was pretty grim. However this movie was dark, gruesome and grim all at the same time and if you ever wanted a movie to see what war was really like, then watch this – – if you can. I couldn't finish it because it was so dark/grim. Tonight I watched a movie (again) called, "Lone Survivor" with Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster and Eric Bana and it was supposedly based on a true story about an incident in the fight with the Taliban in Afghanistan, and it was not short of action or gruesome scenes, but nowhere near as grim as the one I mentioned above. -

Canada is Petrified
There are private options in Canada, no need to go to the US I had an MRI done on my hip in Edmonton, booked on Monday and went in Tuesday afternoon. Same with hip replacements, knee replacements and cataract surgery. As much as Canadian value their universal health care, the system is overloaded from what it was set out to do, Provide Basic Healthcare. I for one will welcome more private options, probably because I've lived and worked all around the world and seen different systems, unlike most in this country. -

Is there anything good about getting old?
Best thing - i was able to retire at 55 - after that only worked part time and when i wanted. Had time for all those hobbies i neglected. To be honest, i didn't enjoy life much until my 30's - certainly the sex life until then was pretty awful. Age 55-60 was the best (in Thailand). 70's now and slowing down, diseases beginning to pile up. Oh well, many friends died much younger.
