2 Free Days In Bangkok... Recommendations?

Featured Replies

Getting on a plane to Bangkok in a few hours. Going for work but got Wednesday night to Friday free (before flying back to UK). Haven't been for about 4 yrs. not really sure what I want to do so absolutely any suggestions welcome.

so much to recommend for so little time...

if i only had 1 more day in Bangkok then my life was over but wanted a real taste of the city, first i'd take the silom line skytrain to Saphan Taksin, then the river boat to Tha Chang pier, followed by a stroll around the Grand Palace & then a tuk tuk ride to Lumphini Park late afternoon/early evening to 'people watch' as they rollerblade & aerobic dance themselves into the dusk. In the evening, i'd probably walk & gawp along Sukhumvit & Cowboy before retiring for the night (alone? hard to say..)

Here now... raining heavily. Looks like a good option. Some good suggestions. Thanks.

Staying in the heart of sukhumvit and keen to escape it so will probably head out as you suggest.
