General Electric Co agreed on Monday to lease two Embraer SA-made jets to Myanmar Airlines, according to a report by Reuters. The company, which did not disclose the value of the deal, said it would ship the jets in November and December. GE became the first US company to restart operations in Burma in July when it reached an agreement to supply X-ray machines to two hospitals through a local dealer. The move followed an announcement in May that the US had suspended its economic sanctions on the country following by-elections the previous month.
