ThailandBert
There is a place just opened here on Samui selling the same type of thing. Comes with various different bodies and engines up to 375cc I'm led to believe. Cheap if you can't afford a pick up.
hansnl
There is a place just opened here on Samui selling the same type of thing. Comes with various different bodies and engines up to 375cc I'm led to believe. Cheap if you can't afford a pick up. In Udon Thani is a fctory that builds the "passenger" version, called "Skylab". Engine sizes 110-150 cc http://www.atipongmo...roduct/tornado/ I do know there is a tuk-tuk manufacturer in the Bangkok area that builds a skylab-type freight only version with an 175 cc engine, called Hero Sky Monika Motors is the name of the factory. Problem with the machines mentioned above is they are not eligible for a number plate, although insurance is no problem. Never saw something like the Champ Jumbo 150 Would like to have some info about this "samlor" Edited September 26, 2012 by hansnl
mogandave
I think there's one dragging a scrap-magnet around the industrial park, and I thought I saw a couple in from of one of the local shops.
ignis
Went to pay the electric bill 2 days ago, just before the Electric Office in Bang Yai is a place that sells 2nd hand cars for many years, and a few months ago notice have DFM, trucks/vans/Mini Buses. now have a smart looking 3 wheel Tuk Tuk type there.. Will stop and look next time in passing, road/traffic is a nightmare as building the new BTS, so guess will be next month when going to pay the electric bill again. Anyone seen it? know what it is?
