The issues aren't minor. They are:

1) WiFi issues. Not working or super slow.

2) Not only does it scratch from nothing, but some are coming scratched out of the box.

3) light leaking from the power button on top and/or the screen corners.

4) this one seems to be the most widely reported - keyboard flickers.

5 million iPhone sold in a couple days. Even with a .5% defect rate, tens of thousands of people will need exchanges. No big deal.

maybe you have a defective item which was sorted out in the chinese factory and sold into the black market ;-)
