January 31, 200620 yr I really really want to email our case officer at the aus embassy just to see if she will mention any info on what's going on with the app. Waiting really sux. It's over 6 weeks since the interview and coming up to 3 months for the whole deal this week. We know it could be any day now, or any week, but it could be any month too, which is a less appetising thought! What do you think, wise or unwise? Maybe not a good idea if it could upset your case officer? What could I say so it's not a "what's the progress"-type email? c.h.

As frustrating as it must be...these people will not be hurried... Any query will be met with " it is not approved yet".... and there is Sweet FA you can do about it.

January 31, 200620 yr As three months has gone past since you made your visa application, and as no follow up information has been requested from you by the Embassy, I'd say you are looking good for approval. I agree with the others, you will not speed up the process by interferring with it. A few more days or weeks is nothing compared to the lifetime of happiness you will gain once the visa is granted.
