I don't want to go to much into the bits and bobs but I need to talk with someone that might know about the result of my wife's visa.

I know that the vfs office don't know the out come.

I can understand your frustration but I it's highly unlikely that you would get to speak to anybody at the UKBA in the Bangkok Embassy regarding your wife's visa application, if you did manage to get past the switchboard they wouldn't discuss it with you.

If you have been waiting for longer that 24 weeks, for a settlement visa, you should email VFS who will forward your email to the UKBA. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/thailand/contact/enquiries/?langname=UK English
