Sitting in my balcony I suddenly could see fire out on the sea. I think it must be a fishingboat who is burning because I also can see a lot of smoke. The are other boats coming up close to the fire, hope they ca help and rescue the people onboard. This happens just east/south east of Chaweng Noi.

I was about 300 meters from the sea up in the hillside. It is difficult to estimate the distance to the incodent, but I guess 5-7 km from the shore. Yes it was beginning to get dark whwn it happened. It happened between Chaweng Noi and Lamai.
