Wanted for Money Laundering in West Virginia, USA

PATTAYA: -- A U.S. national wanted by American authorities for alleged money laundering in West Virginia was arrested Monday by police in Thailand.

A man identified as 48-year-old Jeff Benjamin Ginn Junior was

nabbed in a rented house in the seaside report of Pattaya, 44 miles southeast of Bangkok.

Police Major General Panya Mamen says Ginn is being held by Thai immigration authorities for overstaying his visa, and procedures to expel him to the United States will begin once the immigration charge is resolved.

Panya says Ginn and his wife had opened a cable television network in West Virginia and collected almost 77-thousand dollars from subscribers before fleeing the United States.

Panya said that U-S authorities told him Ginn's wife was hiding

in French Micronesia, a colony of France in the South Pacific.

OK George, I think you almost have enough consistent news material coming in for a new section called:

BUSTED DUMB <deleted> of the WEEK

This guy and his wife rip off 77 large and rent a house in Pattaya? How was he caught, sitting in a beer bar braggin' probably.

Not exactly a Master Criminal either, US $ 77,000.- is a small amount to steal - particularly if you have to flee your home Country. And it's not going to last long, even in Thailand!
