I am in Bangkok and have been asked to teach a small group at a thai company.

I have no company of my own and my work permit expired 5 months ago.

They know this but want an invoice from me so they can pay me. Advice please.

Everything without a work permit would be illegal. I don't think that this "invoice" will ever be seen by any authorities like labor department etc..

Your headline: "Teacher invoicing Thai company is irrelevant", as you don't seem to be employed any more.

And even with a work permit for a school, you wouldn't be allowed to teach the guys of this company.

But you're obviously not allowed to do such a job. But there's another possibility to obtain a work permit for one or two weeks.

Therefor you should go and ask the local labor department. Good luck from lower north-east.---

Thanks. if the invoice is in her name what are her responsibilities. She doesn't have a job.....will she have to pay tax? It will not be a tax invoice.

Make it a tax invoice as the company will claim the tax back anyhow.

It is easy to do, just get the missus to search on the net.
