Hello,

My aunt is suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder. She is visiting Thailand soon and we are thinking of her being checked up in Thailand too for her disease. Please suggest a good doctor here in Bangkok specializing in this field.

Thanks.

I wonder what your Aunt thinks of your idea relating to her being "checked up"

OCD is a long-term (chronic) illness with periods of severe symptoms which may be followed by periods of improvement.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) has been shown to be the most effective type of treatment for this particular disorder.

It is unlikely that any short term contact with a Thai doctor would prove beneficial to your Aunt, even assuming that your Aunt would agree to such a consultation.

Thanks jrtmedic. I thought medication can also control this disorder which I think I am wrong. So, I guess I will suggest her to meet a psychologist in her city.
