I was bitten by one about ten years ago, yes they hurt very much, they are on the "kill on sight" list.

As for things found in bed, I had two small scorpions in bed last year, not sure what type but they fried with an electric mozzie swat.

One of those ''s''uckers hid in my gardening hat yesterday. I put on the hat and yes, bite, big lump on my bonce. The bar stuards are hard to kill too, keep coming back.

I really hope they are an endangered species.

I'm definitely getting slow in my old age.... I actually googled bar stuards to discover what type of creature this was - before (eventually) the penny dropped!
