Rod End Supplier Search

Featured Replies

I'm in need of a small rod end after breaking one and I think this is beyond the usual fastener shop. Anyone have a location of a possible supplier? Specialty suspension shops might have them but thought I would ask here before I start hunting around.

I don't know what that's for, but it looks like an end for a top link for a 3 point tractor hitch. The top link has two of those. Depending on the size and pitch of the threads, and the inner diameter of the hole in the ball, I'd look at a tractor dealer. There are a lot of sizes of those at dealers because they get bigger depending on the size of the tractor. Some farm implements can have those too.

Good idea! I need one smaller than the implement struts you are referring to, but I have seen rod ends used on throttle and control linkages so will give a tractor dealer a try.

OK. There is category 1 and 2 and 3 for hitches, but if that's small like throttle linkage then motorcycle dealers, people who sell speed equipment for cars, maybe auto parts, and of course equipment dealers. I have an end like that on the fuel injection control on my Bobcat excavator but still I have no idea what size you have. Each one teach one, so someone should know.

Good luck.

8 mm hole and 8 mm male threaded end.

Well if it helps (or worse, messes you up, LOL) all of my life on the farm and around equipment that part was called a Ball Joint Rod End or even a Ball Joint Rod End Bearing. That's what the parts stores called them.

I've seen a lot of sizes used in a lot of applications on farm and industrial equipment, and for making custom throttle linkage and emergency brake cables on custom cars. I've seen them on motorcycles.

Good luck!!!!!!
