Dirt Tracks Around Pattya?

Featured Replies

I just bought a Honda CRF250L and am looking to find dirt tracks around here in Pattaya. Please let me know your favorite tracks around here.

Thanks

Tomorrow (sunday) @10am go to the 7/11 on soi siam cc near the butterfly bar. If you want to go of course have your gas, boots ,glove, helmet etc. They are very friendly and can show you lots of trails. I believe they even have a honda too ;]

To the east of Phala Beach ,near Ban Chang, there are a lot of those Top- Heavy ,Jacked -Up Four Wheel drives running around , especially on Sundays. Maybe that area would be suitable for what u want..

On the exit of Marpachan lake on the Na Klua side there is a small dirt track on the right.. Also some good trails in the woods around there and on the other lake exit, cross the road and follow that dirt road which is good fun although it has some serious mud/water atm

I also go to the other big reservoir which is good to do a circuit of (see google maps)

Lots of tracks and trails around Soi Polo on both sides of the road. Can easily ish get up the small hills that over look Polo. Also google Khao Mai Kheo (check spelling), there is around 14km of single track there, 2 loops 1 x 4km and 1 x 10km the 4km is pretty easy going the larger track has some steep rocky tree root climbs on it. There are marker arrows dotted around on the trees there. Also plenty of Markers in the Soi Polo area used for MTB's and Horse riders. Just follow the arrows and its pretty easy.

Its getting busier out now, more and more people seem to be buying dirt bikes for fun. This time of year its pretty easy to just follow tyre tracks in the dirt / sand. My wife and I are out quite a lot. If your new to riding might be worth contacting a guy called Jonny who operates out of Bike Lane near the Elephant village his website is www.tracksntrailspattaya.com he'll be able to show you a fair few tracks to ride.

Any chance you can put a link to google maps for the bit in Bold please?

After the recent heavy rain there are plenty of spots around the district to get dirty on!

As Yankee mentioned, the meet on Sunday mornings will be a great place to start.

Also there are 2 companies in Pattaya that will take you out and show the trails, for a price. And also help you out with any questions you may have about bike set up and riding technique. Just google search pattaya motocross and they both come up.

PM me next week if you want to go out sometime with a few others as i will be back in town then.

Cheers

Yes, i would like that too

Where can i buy inexpensive thai-made boots, gloves, jackets etc nearby?

gloves you can get at 320 shop in bkk. Boots are expensive here so you need to order from the usa. Same for pants and jerseys. Eddys shop on soi siam get 4500up for a set jersey and pants

can't seem to post map link correctly.... anyway, as you head up siam country road, at the entrance to Marpachan Lake (which is on the left) you take a right up a dirt road, keep going straight, after a couple of km's you will come to T-junction and you have the option to go either way ..both will bring you onto the road.
