phuturatica
I'm taking my friend who is visiting to Dusit Zoo in Bangkok... Has anyone been and is it worth the visit? I'm not a huge fan of caged animals to be honest but my friend would like to go. Is it worth the trip down?
kblaze
I went 3 years ago on a "first date" and it was ok. Kind of a standard no-frills zoo, but I remember that I wasn't disappointed, for the price it was ok. Lots of schoolkids milling about in groups. The orangutans and monkey exhibits were fun to watch. ThailandNeil
It's really good! The animals look quite looked after :-) Sent from my GT-P3100
DocN
Some things (monkeys and apes) where quiet good, others looked a bit dirty to me. Overall the place is nice for a walk.
DP25
It's quite nice. Pleasant to walk around and decent exhibits. Good way to spend an afternoon, although it isn't that big so you don't need more than a couple hours. Although if you just don't like zoos on principle it won't do anything to change your opinion of them. It is not blatantly offensive like some others or anything though. phuturatica
Ended up giving a shot and it was ok. Definitely worth the money I think and quite nice.
saramsland
Not for the fighting orangutans but has anyone been to Safari World? I usually take my son (3 yrs) to Dusit Zoo or Siam Ocean World when I come to visit however this time wanted to go somewhere new... Also.. if you have been there, are taxi's returning to the centre of BKK readily available or do they not wish to venture in that direction as I understand Safari World is on the outskirts of BKK..
