Pattaya - Poipet Casino Junket

Featured Replies

I want to combine a tourist visa run (ie. i want to get a tourist visa) with a stay at a casino in Poipet. I want to do this through a tourist agent, and take advantage of the subsidised casino offers for gamblers, while someone runs off and gets me my visa. I haven't been able to find any specific info on doing this, and the english language visa run places don't seem to do this, except 1 out of Bangkok.

Anyone done this,or can recommend an agency?

I did this with the Bri and Joy agency on Soi Bukhao about 2 years ago. Stayed in a huge hotel between the border posts with a massive casino inside it. It was OK and I got a multiple entry tourist visa at the same time from PP. I think it cost 7K, which incldued 2 night st the hotel.

There is a closer border post, also to a hotel + casino between the Thailand and Cambodia crossings. The hotel was not as nice and the casino smaller, but if you fancy a shorter travel time its better. I arranged that one through the Visa office in Das Berliner on Soi 13 Beach Rd. It was a bit cheaper than the Poipet run.

If you definitely want a multiple entry Tourist visa then i reckon you need to check-up on the recent information in the Visa thread as PP seems to change its issuance policy from time to time.

If I were you, I'd go to Bali (if you haven't been to Indonesia yet), no casinos and the flight is more expensive but you'd have a lovely holiday and a recent poster mentioned no problems with getting a triple entry TV at the Thai consulate in DPS.

Cheers - I'll check them both out, single entry will be OK
