jcgodber
Daytime driving lights… I know that they seem to be kind of “trendy as of now. I think that it would be safer to have them I see some of the newer Mercedes Benz’s have them I have questions…. Would it be legal to mount them on my pickup truck ? Do they switch off at night? If they were on at night would they “blind oncoming traffic. Anyone have some thoughts ???

kleenexboy
Read this http://www.iihs.org/research/qanda/drl.aspx They are pretty standard in north america. It allows others to see you and for you to see them, especially when passing on 2 lane roads with other cars in front. Most shop install those horrible and crappy LEDs that die really fast. If you drive a popular vehicle, then you will be able to find after market version. Fitt brand has one for the PJS that replaces the lower front grill, come with on/off switch and auto dim when headlight on for night driving. That's what I installed has it works like a charm! transam
Headlights are not to be used during the day. Restricted to official vehicles so the masses get out the way of official vehicles. Dodgy/crappy looking LED's will not be a problem.
