quadricorrelator
I am here in Thailand and I would like to get a triple (or at least double) entry tourist visa. Is this possible in Penang, Pnom Penh, KL, or Singapore? My travel agent tells me that an interview is necessary for this in Penang. What kinds of questions will they ask? What do they want to know? Any advice on this? Are there services which will escort you and guide you through the process? thanks, -q
dr_Pat_Pong
A double entry shouldn't be a problem. They might ask you why you need it. Looking at culture etc. Dress nicely, and be polite. You don't need a 'helper'
quadricorrelator
I just want to live in Thailand to see if I want to retire here. Do you think that is a sufficient reason? The U.S. embassy in Pnom Penh would not give a double when I tried about a year ago. Do you think Penang would be any better?

Do you fancy getting married to a Thai ? The Thai posts in the region are tough as nails.
quadricorrelator
I would marry a Thai. But, I would not marry a Thai for convenience. I just think that would lead to too much trouble. I would always be looking over my shoulder. And I think I it would make me vulnerable to blackmail especially if my "wife" got angry with me, or if turned out that she was trying to take advantage.
