What Mac Software To Buy On Visit To Bangkok?

I only visit once every few years. What kinds of Mac software and apps are still cheap to buy in Bangkok compared with Europe? Any Mac specialist shops there? I use Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but am awaiting Mountain Lion before upgrading.

Also need to buy a good-quality 1TB external hard drive formatted for Mac ... any recommendations on brand and outlets? Thanks in advance.

There are internet sources for all the software you might want, and probably a bit more reliable than what might come on a disc from Pantip. I know you can even download a copy of Mountain Lion, if you want it. I'm please with SL and don't intend to move to the Cloud.

And, as rakman said, you can format any external drive for Mac using disk utility.

As for outlets: Pantip is still a favorite of many, but I prefer Fortune Town Mall. Easier to get to (MRT) and not so hectic, but also not as big as Pantip.

Thanks for replies. Fortune Town IT Mall would be the Rama 9 stop on the MRT subway / underground system. Does anyone know whether they offer hard drive data recovery services there, like 'Bios' at the rear of Pantip Plaza's 4th floor?
