Delight
Just for fun ,and indicative of a mis-spent retirement ,I have modified a U Tube clip and created 16 clips each of which has a Thai person speaking the vowels as per my earlier post i.e. LONG -SHORT order.(see Mousehound post) Special thanks to reginaldgraves for drawing my attention to the clip. 2) I also attach , for convenience , the 2 vowel charts again. Vowel Chart 2 has been revised- SAM has been replaced with the word AMOUNT. (SAM was just too confusing for American students –Possibly because they only know SAM as in Uncle SAIRM) 3) Added a chart on Diphthongs and Triphthongs VOWEL 1 FATHER.aviVOWEL 2 SEE.aviVOWEL 3 SMILER.aviVOWEL 4 SUE.aviVOWEL 5 MAY.aviVOWEL 6 FAIR.aviVOWEL 7 GO.aviVOWEL 8 BURN.aviVOWEL 9 NEWER.aviVOWEL 10 MAFIA.aviVOWEL 11 SEWER.aviVOWEL 12 EYE.aviVOWEL 13 EYE.aviVOWEL 14 LAW.aviVOWEL CHART 2 rev2 -.pdfVOWEL CHART 1 rev 2.pdfVOWEL 15 COW.aviVOWEL 16 AMOUNT.avi DIPS and TRIPS.pdf Edited October 24, 2012 by Delight
