October 29, 201213 yr What is the easiest way to get from Paknam (Samutprakan) to the Ministry of Public Health in Nonthaburi? I know that there are vans going from Imperial World to Victory Monument, and some other vans go to Nonthaburi from there. But I have no clue where the vans from VM are leaving exactly. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
October 29, 201213 yr There is van #97 that goes from Ramkhamheng all the way to Nonthaburi/pakret. You can catch it also on Lad prao after the mall bangkapi heading west. Takes a long time though.
October 29, 201213 yr Author Well, vans are going from Paknam to Ram 1, (takes about 1h 20 min) so I might change there. Are those vans leaving directly from the Ram 1 bus station where also bus # 207 stops? I've seen plenty of vans there.
October 31, 201213 yr do NOT go via RamI-will double the time, as NO expressway then. Vans from Ram have no real start-point, they run aloing the main road. Lard prao is notorious for congestion. THAT ministry is in fact very welll served-as are most ministries, by BMTA BIG bus 97 from the Vict Monum-and as there is no exway really fit, alas also the only feasible way.Take BMTA 536-or that van if you so wish (536 also runs via exprway) to Vic Mon-then at opposite corner bus 97-it has red normal, some orange AC and lots of cuty yellow new AC-Chinese buses, cost 12 bt. The ORange BMTA runs INTO the compound and most buses in act end there. If you do it more regularly-buy a 7 day Sapta season at Vic Mon-cost is 200 bt and you can use any orange AC and red bus for the time.
November 1, 201213 yr OR-as I do not use it often, I tend to forget it- simply use BTS from the new ext at Baring till AREE-north of Vict.Mon and change into the 97 there. In peaks likely the quickest combo. Citybus 545 runs SamRong-via Ekamai-Ram-Lard prao-Ngam and passes that ministry on the final end into Nonthburi-even in slack times that takes around 2 hrs driving.
November 1, 201213 yr From Victory Bus 18 goes along Tiwanon, the MOPH is inside a Soi on the right hand side when coming from Victory, look for the first set of traffic lights after BIG C on Tiwanon. Am sure the bus 97 does not go past the MOPH, it goes to the PIER via Phiboon Songkhran Road.
November 1, 201213 yr Author My thai friends also told me that bus 97 would stop at the Ministry of health, so I think this is a good way to go from VM. But that weekly bus ticket might be worth buying anyway, does that apply to all BKK and around?
November 1, 201213 yr my mistake the 97 actually goes into the main soi where the MOPH is, and U-Turns there.
