My girlfriend is in quite a deal of pain for over a week now.

Her neck/shoulder/upper back is very painful.

She tried a few different massages with no relief .

She then went to the clinic and they gave her some strong anti inflammatories that havent worked.

So I was thinking if there is a chiropractor or the like in Pattaya maybe we should try that.

Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

She should NIOT try a chiropracyer without first getting at minimum a spinal xray and consulting an orthopedic specialist. Depending on what the cause of the pain is, manipulation of the neck could make it worse or even cause permanent damage.

Hopefully it is just a muscle spasm in which case massage, heat, gentle manipulation etc may be fine but make sure first that there is nto a structural cause.

Thanks. I dont think it is a muscle spasm as she has had a few massages already. She is going to get an xray first before she visits the chiropractor.

Dr David Pack, On a small soi off Pattaya North. 038-370-922, He will order an x-ray before any manipulations. I haven't had the miracle I was hoping for, but it might work for you

Yeah thanks for that.

She got an xray and is going to him now.

He did however say that it could take 10 visits or more to fix the problem.

It is a muscular problem as the xrays came up all clear.

It seems like a long time for a muscular problem!

I once had a cramped neck for over a month. Could not move it at all.. massages did give some relief but it did not go away. Caffeine did help a bit and in the end loads of ultrasound massages by trained hospital staff got it sorted out.
