Hi, the wife and I (well really just me) want to buy an 8ball table for the house.

Does anyone know where they sell em? and what price range are they in?

Im up in Issan so if there are any dealers of 8ball tables in places like Khon Kaen anyone knows of, that would be easier but Im not that fussed, Im happy to get it trucked in

Speak to Henning or Keith at The Ball in Hand in Bangkok, or drop them an email via their website. They are distributors for Brunswick in Thailand. Take a look at the Brunswick Billiards website to choose the table you like and if they don't have it in stock they will order it for you. You'll be looking at 100K up for a new Brunswick.

If that's a bit more than you wanted to spend then take a look at the classifieds. There's usually someone somewhere selling a table...

I got the iPad for free,prior to that I wasn't in the market for a tablet I was happy with my laptop ,so my knowledge is close to zero of the benefits of one brand to another

Not to say that your table isn't worth it, but I'm more looking to fill some empty space.

iPads suck in terms of movie files. Actually the only movie file iPads play are mp4. Some free apps (mediaplayer or oplayer) will convert all video formats but you have to install them on your computer in your iTunes library. From there you convert on your computer and then sync/ transfer over to the ipad,,,,,a bit of a hassle. Androids are much better because they support almost all formats.
