If you pride yourself of having failed miserably at Math, see the shorter, but less funny version in the archive: http://www.thaivisa....ly#entry2264601

Below is the full engineer's version.

The Flood was over, the water receded and the ark has safely landed on Mount Ararat. Noah lets all the animals out and commands, "Go forth and multiply."

A few months later, Noah decides to take a stroll around to see how things are going. Everywhere he looks he finds baby animals. There's tadpoles and caterpillars, little bunnies and fledglings, foals and fawns, kittens and puppies, lambs and piglets, you name it. Everyone is doing fine except for one pair of snakes. "What's the problem?" Noah asks a little concerned.

"Cut down some trees, hack away the branches and let us live there", the snakes beg.

Noah complies and walks off. Several more weeks pass. When Noah checks back, dozens of little snakes wiggle and wind merrily through the woods. Everybody is happy. "That's wonderful", Noah smiles, "but how did the trees help?"

"Well, you know," say the snakes. "We're adders, so we need logs to multiply."
