Can Travel Agencies Handle Visa Extension?

Featured Replies

I was wondering if it is possible, in order to avoid the trip up to the out of the way Chaeng Wattana immigration office, to have a travel agent handle the 30-day tourist visa extension? Or is that something that has to be done in person?

You have to submit the application for extension of stay in person.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I always thought you had to do in person, but in Pattaya agencies are now offering second extension on tourist visas( that is after you already got your 30-day extension) of up to 90 days for fees ranging from 6000 to 14000 Baht. It seems to be legit:A friend of mine did it and left via Suvanaphumi without any problems, which you probably would get if you had a fake stamp in your passport,

The trick they use is probably getting an extension of medical grounds because you are unable to travel.

It is not legit, as it would be a false statement and you sign the papers and are responisble for that the paperwork you submit is correct. The consequences can be very serious, it will not be an overstay like situation but a serious criminal offense with jailtime and deportation and blacklisted.

Why not scan it and post it here, black out all the details relating to your name
