With Thailand about to intergrate further with the rest of ASEAN could this lead to some kind of change? I understand it is possible for foreigners to own land in (most?) other ASEAN countries such as Malaysia. I think it will happen one day, maybe not for quite a few years, but it will happen. How is malaysia allowing foreigners to own land? I have only heard of the second home program, which is not real ownership and not a lifelong visa as it can be terminated or not renewed.
