My 15 day visa runs out on the 21st and I fly out on the 27th. I therefore need a 7 day extension. I am currently in phi phi and wondered the easiest way to extend my visa?

you need to find a convenient immigration office (maybe krabi) and it doesn't need to be on the day it runs out, take your flight details to show them.

i have never done it , upon reading a few posts i think it's somesort of emergency extension , i don't know if it can be done or not to the 15 day entry ??

extensions get added on and can be done at any time before your last day of stay.

other choice is to pop down to malaysia.

If you need the full 7 days you must make your application for extension on the last day of your current permission to stay, showing a ticket out of Thailand within these 7 days. You will not get an extension of stay but a stamp saying that your application is under consideration and that you must report to the immigration office again on <date>, this date usually being 7 days after the date of your application, not 7 days after your current permission to stay. Leave Thailand not later than the stated date and everything is OK. Alternatively, if you report to the immigration office on the stated date, you will be informed that your application is rejected and that you must leave Thailand the same day.

The seven days is not a real extension.

You will get seven days for consideration of your application.

Go on the last day of your current permission to stay.

You get 7 days to leave the country on the day you apply.
