hello

it s gonna be the end of my contract soon and so end of work permit and visa as well..i want to take a break and dont plan to work for few months..what are my best options considering that i might travel out of thailand every 2 months.tourist visa( double entry??) or ed visa(as i maybe want to brush up my thai and and my muay thai too) worth to do this and ask multi entries( re entry permit)..informations needed as i ve always been on working status(non b and then every year extended )...is this possible?? monday apply visa for myanmar..tuesday fly to yangon..wednesday embassy is closed..thai holiday..thursday apply for the visa..get it on friday..fly back to bangkok on saturday...any other options are welcome

Why not start with a two entry tourist visa - that could cover up to 6 months and and allows study if that is what you want and your can change to ED later if needed.

what about if i leave the country every 2 months?? so 60 days,,after when i enter thailand again by air will i get 60 days right away??? as it ll be about every 2 months i dontplan to extend for 30 days at immigration...how it will work?

Vientiane and Savannakhet Laos are the only nearby consulates issuing 2 entry visas. Penang and Kl do single entries. PP Cambodia only does singles that take 4 days to get.

Unless you fly Vientiane is probably the easiest to get to from Bangkok.

You will get 60 days for each tourist visa entry by air or land.

If you do not extend your entries you only get about 4 months out of the visa before needing another visa.

A two entry tourist visa would get a new 60 day stay on any type of second entry, the same as first entry. Recommend Vientiane if you want a two entry visa in the region. You are not likely to get at either PP or Penang and for PP it takes up to 4 days for any type of visa issue.
