westbounder
My Thai wife moved here from Ubon last year. She has braces on her teeth and I was wondering if any Orthodontist here in Chiang Mai can continue to adjust her existing braces without wanting to remove them and trying to sell her a new set. She has now worn braces for three years and was told by the Orthodontist in Ubon she should only have to wear them 6 more months to 1 year. Can anyone recommend an Orthodontist here in Chiang Mai who can do this?

hellodolly
Here is a list from the pinned topics up above. Dr Varaporn Chiang Mai RAM Hospital 053 920300 Dr.Chanika Sasomsin, Prof. Korakot Boripantakul, Dr. Marisa Sukapatte Grace Dental Care Clinic 45 Soi 11 Nimmanhemin Rd. 053 894 568/69 Dr. Joy Elite Smile Dental Clinic (next to Pantip Plaza) 053 288199 Dr Apaporn Limpastan Rajavej Hospital, 053-801999 Dr Chatchai Charoensri Rajavej Hospital, 053-801999 I have italicized the one I use. I find her to be very honest I have had a tooth that is going to need a cap or crown now for two years and she does not try to sell me one. She told me the condition it was in and that she had no idea how long the huge filling would stay in and not to worry about it we will deal with it when it comes out unless I suddenly decide I don't want to wait and choose to do it now. She is in the Pantip Plaza but you must enter her office off of Changklan. That is the night bazaar street.
hansnl
Of course the dentist mafia wants her to wear braces for much longer as needed. It is a money thing. On the other hand braces also seem to be a sign of being rich...... So anybody, needed or not, want and can get braces.

barefoot1988
i will probably suggest a hospital dental department and avoid dental clinics. i have rather unpleasant experiences with clinics here as a kid, i wore headgear braces daily after dinner and to bed, truly pita. Ah yes... the "headgear". I wore them at night for years...and hated them.
