I saw a very well produced stage play tonight called "Harvey" at Chiang Mai International School. The CityNow website ran photos from last night's show.

I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys live theater. For those who don't know the story here is the press release put out by the school:

The Theater Production and Performance class at Chiang Mai International School (CMIS) will present the Pulitzer Prize winning play “Harvey” as the first play of the season. The show will open on the 16th of November with evening performances at 7:00 pm. On the 17th, there will be a matinée at 1:00 pm and an evening performance at 7:00 pm. Ticket price is 100 Baht for students and 200 Baht for adults. Tickets may be purchased at the school office or at the door for each performance.

"Harvey", written by Mary Chase in 1944, is the story of a tippling bachelor named Elwood P. Dowd who claims that his best friend is a 6-foot-tall rabbit, who is a “Pooka” whom nobody else can see. The two are inseparable which leads Elwood's family to believe he's out of his mind. And so after years of embarrassment, Elwood's sister Veta decides to commit him to a sanitarium. When the unsuspecting Elwood arrives at the asylum, chaos ensues as the doctor concludes Veta is the one needing treatment and Elwood is allowed to walk free. As a comedy, there is more here than meets the eye as the play examines our perceptions of reality and what it means to be truly sane.
