Best Place For Annual Physical

Featured Replies

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I couldn't find an old post. I'm new to BKK so have to ask.

I'm 42, and I need my annual physical (BUPA pays 700 baht towards it). But I want to a more complete one and maybe some STD screen tests too.

Will any hospital do? I think the blood work is more imporant than anything else as I'm not displaying any outward problems. So I want a competent lab.

At your age I wouldn't bother. All the big hospitals do this. Try Bangkok hospital group should set you back about 7K. TBHT

I've used Piyavate, Bangkok Hospital and Rama 9 (all private) in the past and been pleased. Beware going to the better private hospitals like this, the 700 baht from BUPA won't nearly cover it. I think you'd be looking at a few thousand baht out of pocket... sorry can't help with the actual cost as my firm's insurance covers it all, so I didn't even see an invoice.

Had a full medical a few weeks ago at Bangkok Pattaya and cost was about 7,500 Baht as a guide for you.

Yeah for sure avoid Samitivej or Bumrungrad - MAJOR piss takes on prices.

I had a full check up in 2011 at Samitivej which cost approx. 8,000. One year later, they'd more or less doubled the price to 15,000.
