scorecard
Just bought new ACER notebook, which has a Predictive Text function which is annoying to say the least. Can a member please advise how to disable this function. I did a Google search, found several items mostly suggesting to run CCleaner, but that didn't work. Appreciate some advice please. lomatopo
Phone make, model? Disabling predictive text will vary by manufacturer, OS, version, model., etc. Maybe Google your phone's make/model and "user's guide", review the PDF? It may be in there? Just search the PDF for "predictive text".

Chicog
Maybe it's a junk app, and a visit to PC Decrapifier would be in order: http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/download
MJCM
In which application does this occur ? Word, Notepad ? or all ? Even here on TV ? Edit: // Do you have by any chance a Acer Iconia Touchbook? Then, it's To turn predictive text on or off, press the key. scorecard
Thanks for the replies. I discovered it's a junk plant for some kind of scoring system for teenagers to compete with each other for spelling mistakes. Also discovered (by accident) there is a hidden settings icon (gear wheel). The settings icon quickly revealed a disable function. All gone.
