I am interested in hearing from volunteers who have been issued with a work permit and have imported household goods/personal belongings in recent times. Were you able to import these items without having to pay duty?

If you coming here to work you can import your without paying duty tax free upto 6 months after arriving....seeing as you have a work permit, the rules will not be any different for a volunteer

The challenge will be to find a voluteer organisation willing to arrange a work permit for one year. So far I have not had any luck.
