This is serious, the stopped the soap operas so yingluck can address the country as to why the ISA is necessary.

I just watched it. I thought it was on at 8:30.

I think she's nipped this one in the bud.

If there is any truth to there being a botched earlier attempt at a coup forewarned is forearmed.

She's proving herself. No wonder Abhisit is upset. Their plans are falling away.

30,000 max at the weekend.

There were 40,000 redshirts at Ayutaya the other day.

To be on the safe side they should wheel out the water cannon. That should scare off any trouble makers.

Is that the reason she gave? They've foiled a coup by implementing the ISA which puts the Army in charge???

Just following Thaksin's script to gaining greater control.

Alleged coup attempt,

( faked assignation in 2006, recent alleged assassination attempt )

and creating the fear of violence before any is coming, as a set up for

creating it as a way to lock in control and lock out oversight,

and give reasons for not going before the Censure Debates.

If they've foiled a coup.... why no perp-walk of the culprets???...

Thais love their perp-walks.

I was referring to the supposed foiled coup of June 1st 2012 which cannot be linked to because of the rules.

Constitution Court rejected to block anti-govt rally Pitak Siam group as there is no solid proof of plan to oust govt /The Nation

So then, those different Pheu Thai Party MP's that petitioned the court failed to provide solid proof of their allegations.

Fear-mongering with an ISA implementation must be their "Plan B."

Yes, must be -dead- serious.

The Press conference with Yingluck and Obama was from no importance, when the Journalists questions where asked

and answers given from the Prime Minister and the President, Channel 7 stopped broadcasting that event

and all -important- Thai Channels showed -Soap Operas-!blink.png

Had to watch it on CNN LIVE. whistling.gif

Nothing faked about it.

The perps were caught.

As Thaksin said why would he go to the trouble to fake a car bomb attack and then go and catch the perps.

If he had set it up you might think they might have ratted on him coz they didn't but they were attached to ISOC where, how shall I say, a certain general is not best pals with Thaksin.

Who knows about the recent threats to him in Burma?

We know there's a 10,000 dollar contract out on him.

Oh you didn't read Wiki leaks. I forgot.

A 10,000 dollar contract on a high profile billionaire. Does that sound credible to you ??? I am no expert but I would imagine a contract like that would have a much higher price.

I think fear will stop many turning up. The fact that they are enforcing the ISA will only compound those fears.

The current administration hasn't done enough 'in your face' wrong (although behind the scenes we can all see what's coming). I think this demonstration is a little pre-mature. Still, it provides an opportunity to both see the support these 'royalists' have, and how far the government will go to suppress them if they feel threatened.

I think this is a very level headed comment and worth quoting. thumbsup.gif

It may worthy if he explained "what was coming

Nearly 17,000 police will be deployed for the demo, according to officials.

Mr Chalerm said the 50,000-strong police are assigned to keep order at the site

Which one is a white lie? :ermm:

If anything, what with Police Captain Chalerm's ramping up the situation and various claims resulting in an ISA, one would think there would be even more of his cops than what he said just 2 days ago.

More cops, not cut by over half.

Isn't the stated aim of the organisor " to bring down the Government " enough " ???

A public call for a coup against an elected government ??

Sedition, is it not ???

Exactly.

Who was John the US ambassador talking with?

Do you know?

John was surprised at the amount too.

John tells us he was told that the perp would be given a new identity in a nearby country.

How can you be confused Abhisit ?? You know what you have done some year's ago you stand behind one of the worst violence in Thai history !!!

Oh you mean the violence of sending in troops to battle protestors who were packing assault rifles and grenade launchers?

No, I think he means the use of snipers to shoot unarmed people, nurses, journalists and ordinary Thai folk who were shot just for being there.

There is NO evidence whatsoever that security forces managed to shoot an armed person.

really nurses were shot? according to which source? i seemed to have missed it

You just cant get the staff anymore.... and there was medic also shot helping the wounded

I think they "Pitak Siam" have overplayed their hand and what is to be heard at this demo?

A lot of mud-slinging with precious little detail.

A mirror image of what will take place in the parliament.

A lot of heat and not much light.

The government is right to prepare itself because maybe, maybe not, there are or were plans to converge on the parliament with intent to occupy it again.

I wouldn't put it past these people.

you couldn't make it up

General Panlop seemed pretty chummy with his supposed assassination target when they visited in Dubai, along with sundry other participants, including the aforementioned Issan Rambo, who is just waiting for the word (he said it would be a whistle) before unleashing 200, 000 Red Shirts into Bangkok tomorrow...

Dramatic U-Turn by the government

ISA implemented

Alleged kidnapping plots

Nationwide televised cut-ins for special PM announcement

And all you can come up with is inflammatory personal baiting and a question wholly unrelated to the posts you quote?
