Popular Post JeremyBowskill
Might find some kind of stimulant went alongside these mammoth sessions. No matter how much you like video games its pretty hard to kill yerself on them without help. Still its not all bad at least he got to go out doing something he loved, my biggest fear would be to go out doing something I hated. 10 minutes before an end of a shift at work on a Friday is worst case scenario for me. GentlemanJim
There is a game called 'Amnesia', that, with the lights out on a large flat screen TV is enough to give you a bloody heart attack I tell you. It is a cure for anyone who finds it easy to go to sleep at night. Poor lad, but as has already been suggested, it is totally impossible to self deprive of sleep to the extent that you keel over and die. The only way to do that would be excessive use of stimulants. spidermike007
Well, it sounds like he did not have much of a life anyway. We are all given choices in life, how we want to spend out time, what books we read, what topics we study, and where we want to devote our energy, and passions. Anyone who spends 5 to 10 hours at a time in front of a screen, in a way that is not earning an income is making some pretty bizarre choices, no? Popular Post silverhawk_usa
I guess I don't understand all the criticism of this man or even why it is a news story. He liked to play video games. OK, apparently to the point of obsession. so what? There is nothing that says the cause of death was video games, and I doubt it really is. People on TV complain all the time about their slow internet speeds when doing their torrent downloads of movies. They ask how to connect to foreign television programs. They complain about their favorite porno site being blocked. I assume they spend a number of hours in front of the tv watching these movies after they are downloaded. Your choice. Please don't die while doing one of these activities or you may be a TV news item. People die reading books, playing golf, riding motorcycles, swimming, watching tv, sitting on the toilet, and we can't forget the Viagra victims and binge drinkers. In many circumstances we say, "Hey, at least he died doing what he enjoyed", What is the big deal here? People do activities that THEY enjoy. People sometimes die doing them. I am sure the family is grieving his loss, as one would, regardless of what he was doing at the time of his death.

KuhnPaen
This happens in Japan often enough. Internet cafes there are basically 24 hour homeless shelters. The leading cause of death in these cases is dehydration or blood clots in the legs from sitting too long. Just sayin.

You know, it's much easier, the suicide theory, in case it is a Farang (p.ex., any other non Thai will do, too). And a lot less paperwork. But: Sure it is about face.
